Corinthians midfield player will depart club this summer.
European champions Chelsea have been alerted by the news that Brazil star Paulinho is set to leave South America at the end of the season and move to Europe, says talkSPORT.co.uk.
A whole host of big-name clubs on the Continent have reportedly been keeping close tabs on the highly-rated Corinthians midfield player, who featured for the Samba Boys in the recent friendly international against England at Wembley Stadium.
Both Chelsea and Serie A giants Inter Milan are known to be keen admirers of the 24-year-old, who agent Kia Joorabchian confirmed earlier this month to talkSPORT.co.uk would be leaving Brazil for pastures new this summer.
However, now the player himself has told the radio station that he will be making the switch, which will interest the West London club in particular as they are on the look-out for a new star player to bring to Stamford Bridge for next season.
“I do not know what will happen in June. Nor can I say with certainty that I will stay or go away, we will see,” Paulinho said.
“For the time being I am fully concentrated on Corinthians – what happens in the market, in summer or winter, we will see.”
