Blues’ possible team for first game of the season.
Chelsea travel to newly-promoted Burnley for their first game of the Premier League season, and look set to unleash a strong new-look lineup as they hope to confirm their status as title favourites for 2014/15.
Jose Mourinho has a selection headache in goal, but it looks as though Thibaut Courtois will get the nod over Petr Cech, while new signings could appear elsewhere on the pitch.
Goalkeeper and defence:
As well as a new face in goal in Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea should hand a debut to new left-back signing Filipe Luis, who also joins from Atletico Madrid this summer. The Brazilian will be given the task of replacing Ashley Cole and looks a good signing. Meanwhile, Branislav Ivanovic should start at right-back, with John Terry and Gary Cahill the obvious choice for central defence.
