The Blues have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table when they face the Eagles, as the title race really hots up between themselves, Liverpool and Manchester City.
It is one of the closest battles for the crown in the league’s history and Mourinho will need as many first team players fit as possible to lift the trophy for a third time.
Eto’o was signed from Anzhi Makhachkala last summer as the Russian club looked to reduce their wage bill and was given a one-year deal in west London.
The Cameroon international has been the most prolific of the three strikers at Stamford Bridge this term, but isn’t expected to be given a new contract come the end of the current term.
Meanwhile Cole has lost his place in the starting XI to Cesar Azpilicueta, with the Spaniard being utilised on the left side of defence despite generally being considered to be a right-back.
