Chelsea have plans to continue their aggressive transfer approach in January, as they are still being linked to midfielder Paul Pogba.
According to the Daily Express, however, the Blues have added Porto midfielder Ruben Neves to their list of transfer targets.
It will not be easy for the Blues to complete a deal for the 18-year-old though, as Real Madrid and Barcelona are also reportedly interested in signing him.
The Portuguese ace is most comfortable operating as a holding midfielder, which would make him an even more ideal addition for Chelsea.
Chelsea have conceded a staggering 12 goals in its opening five fixtures and are in dire need of added defensive pressure in the middle of the park with Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas struggling to reproduce their form from last season
Blues manager Jose Mourinho is under pressure, as his team fell to 17th place on the Premier League table after a 3-1 loss to Everton.
