The 19-year-old forward has been a long-term target for the Blues, and ESPN Brazil reports the player will sign a five-year deal with the club that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until at least 2020.
According to Metro, Kenedy was recently sold by Fluminense to a third-party organisation for £6.3m and Chelsea are expected to complete the deal this week.
Kenedy made his debut for Fluminense in 2013 and went on to score five goals in 40 top flight appearances for the Brazilian giants.
He becomes the second Brazilian to join Chelsea this summer, with 19-year-old Atletico Paranaense midfielder Nathan inking a deal with the club back in May.
Despite winning the Premier League title in a canter last term, Blues boss Jose Mourinho is looking to further strengthen his squad as the Portuguese boss looks to defend the domestic triumph and make a push for the Champions League title.
