Begovic has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, however Stoke City are playing hardball with the Premier League champions and will not sell the Bosnia & Herzegovina international for less than its £8m valuation.
Chelsea are understood to have had a £6m bid turned down by the Potters, however Daily Telegraph reports the London club are now willing to increase its offer to meet Stoke’s valuation.
According to the report, Stoke will also demand a Chelsea player on loan next season as part of the deal.
The report suggests the Potters are interested in striker Victor Moses, however youngsters Nathan Ake, Patrick Bamford and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could also come into consideration.
Begovic has just one year remaining on his deal at the Britannia, and The Mirror reports the former Portsmouth man is desperate for a move to Stamford Bridge despite the fact he will likely play second fiddle to current Blues number one Thibaut Courtois.
