Bayern are believed to be plotting a summer move for the Serbian right-back, but the Blues are keen to retain one of their key men.
According to Daily Star, Chelsea have responded to the Bundesliga side’s interest by offering a three-year deal to the 31-year-old.
The report states that Chelsea have strict rules regarding contract length for players over 30, however Blues boss Jose Mourinho remains an avid fan of the former Lokomotiv Moscow man and is believed to be desperate to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
Ivanovic’s current deal with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, and Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly a massive fan of the 77-times capped Serbian international.
The defender has played 307 matches for the Blues since joining from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008.
