Chelsea are said to have become the latest side to enter the race for Aston Villa’s in form striker Christian Benteke this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The 24-year-old has been in eye waveringly good form for the Villans since Tim Sherwood took over at the club in February, finding the back of the net 11 times in his past nine outings.
And it is that form that has caught the attention of the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, who have all been linked with a move for him at the end of the season.
And reports are now claiming that Jose Mourinho has decided to take an interest, too, and may look to bring him to Stamford Bridge in an attempt to bolster his forward line.
Villa aren’t looking to sell the player for any less than £30million, if at all, though Sherwood has previously intimated that he wouldn’t stand in the player’s way if he wanted to move on.
