Kenedy’s debut with Chelsea has been delayed over paperwork issues, but the wait appears to be over.
After chasing Fluminense youngster Robert Kenedy all summer, Chelsea are finally on the verge of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Metro, Chelsea have obtained the required paperwork for a work permit and can now exercise their option to purchase the 19-year-old wonderkid. The deal is reportedly worth £6.7 million for Kenedy, but the official signing had been delayed over the paperwork.
The teenage star has 5 goals for the Brazilian club as well as 6 goals for Brazil’s Under-16 National team and 1 goal for Brazil’s Under-20 National team.
Kenedy had reportedly received offers from Barcelona and other European teams, but the young stud will get his chance with Jose Mourinho once he arrives at Stamford Bridge.
The move would be Chelsea’s fifth transfer of the summer, joining the likes of Asmir Begovic, Radamel Falcao, Nathan and Danilo Pantic.
