Jose Mourinho expecting ‘transfer collapse’
The Chelsea manager has warned that football is facing its very own “Wall St crash”, due to the heavy spending of some of their title rivals. Manchester City and Manchester United both look set to spend big again this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mirror, and Mourinho fears the effect such moves could have on the game as a whole.
Petr Cech could join Paris Saint Germain
The Chelsea goalkeeper is reportedly set to join the French champions, rather than Arsenal this summer. The Gunners have played down interest in the Czech Republic international, claiming that they already have ‘three world class goalkeepers’. This has left the door open for the Ligue 1 giants, who are now firm favourites to complete a deal, with Cech eager to secure himself more first-team football (via the Mirror).
