Blues winger Kevin de Bruyne holds unsanctioned talks with Bayer Leverkusen.
Chelsea star Kevin de Bruyne held talks with Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen on Monday as the winger nears a Stamford Bridge exit.
According to German source Kicker, the 22-year-old and his agent Patrick de Koster met officials from Leverkusen to discuss De Bruyne’s future.
The publication also claimed De Bruyne is due to meet Blues boss Jose Mourinho on Thursday to tell the Portuguese he has been speaking to other clubs and would like to leave West London.
The Blues have reportedly NOT given De Bruyne permission to talk to other clubs and will not be happy the former Genk player has taken matters into his own hands.
De Bruyne is desperate to leave Chelsea, having not started a Premier League match since August, although the Belgian did start Tuesday’s Capital One Cup defeat at Sunderland.
Belgium boss Marc Wilmots has reportedly told his squad they must be playing regular football ahead of next summer’s World Cup, leaving various players considering January loan deals.
Consequently, De Bruyne reportedly wants a loan deal that starts in January and spans the whole of next season, with Bayer unable to afford Chelsea’s €15-20m asking price.
