Ba is open to a switch to Serie A.
Inter Milan are ready to make a move for Chelsea’s Demba Ba in the January transfer window but the striker says a switch to Arsenal will definitely not happen, reports the Mirror.
The Gunners were linked with a bid for the out of favour Blues front-man, but Ba has dismissed these reports and instead could make the move to Italy.
“People talk a lot about me joining Arsenal,” the 28-year-old was quoted by the Mirror.
“But there has never been an approach from them. There is nothing going on in this regard.”
Inter and the west London club have already been in contact as the Premier League outfit look to try and tempt midfielder Freddy Guarin to Stamford Bridge.
Ba could therefore possibly be used as a makeweight in that transfer, with it being likely to cost in the region of £15m to land the Colombia international.
The Senegalese forward has been at the club for less than a year after making the £7.5m switch from Newcastle United in January, but Jose Mourinho has used the attacker sparingly.
Ba has made just three starts in all competitions this term and is behind both Samuel Eto’o and Fernando Torres in the pecking order for a place up front.
Since arriving from the Magpies the African has made 36 appearances and netted nine goals and has not made quite the impact that was hoped.
