Hazard emerges as a shock target for PSG.
There is some surprising transfer news as Eden Hazard has reportedly told Chelsea team-mate the Belgian will move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, according to Le Parisian.
The 23-year-old has been in brilliant form since making a £32m switch from Lille in 2012, being nominated for the PFA Player of the Year during the attacking midfielder’s first season in England.
Yet it’s now suggested that Hazard wants to return to Ligue 1 and join mega-rich PSG’s impressive squad.
“I will definitely go to Paris next summer,” the Belgium international is said to have told a fellow Blues player.
It’s worth remembering at this point that, as the name suggests, Le Parisien is a publication from the French capital and as the only top flight side in the city, there is a certain affiliation with PSG.
Not that the French champions couldn’t afford the fee that Hazard would command, with wealthy Qatari owner Nasser al-Khelaifi prepared to offer between £40m and £50m for the winger.
A deal between al-Khelaifi and Blues owner Roman Abramovich is already said to have been negotiated, although manager Jose Mourinho will not want to let the star leave.
Hazard has been arguably the west London club’s best player this term and Mourinho will not want to lose that talent, with prominent Belgian journalist Kristoff Terreur suggesting a new contract should lay to rest these rumours.

PSG are still keen to make a dream team at the Parc des Princes however, having already paid huge sums for the likes of Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore and Thiago Silva in recent times.
Since arriving in England Hazard has played 89 matches in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and providing 32 assists.
