Romeu is on-loan at Valencia but may not come back to west London.
Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu is currently on a season long loan at Valencia, but the 22-year-old has admitted he is unsure whether he wants to return to Stamford Bridge.
Los Che had initially wanted to sign the Spaniard on a permanent basis, but these approaches were rebuffed by manager Jose Mourinho who would only allow Romeu to leave temporarily.
Since then though the 51-year-old has recruited in defensive midfield – where the former Barcelona man plays – with the £20.75m signing of Nemanja Matic from Benfica.
However, Michael Essien has also departed for AC Milan and there are question marks over the futures of Frank Lampard (who’s contract expires this summer) and John Obi Mikel.
Romeu though simply says that the midfield ace has no idea what is going to happen at the end of this current term.
“I have no idea [what will happen in the summer]. I need to decide at the end of the season. Many things can happen,” the Spain under-23 international told the Daily Mail.
“We will sit down and decide what is best for me to do.
“They are watching me and they are always telling me things. They are looking after me and that’s good.
“You never know what can happen, but they are looking after me.”
Romeu joined the Blues in 2011 in a £4.5m transfer from the Nou Camp and played 33 first team matches for the side in two years before this current loan switch to the Mestalla Stadium.
