Earlier this week, the Daily Express claimed that Juventus had made a £20 million bid for the Brazilian midfield, who will play no further part in the Premier League season after earning himself a four match ban for a deliberate elbow on Sunderland man Sebastian Larsson earlier this month.
Ramires’ disciplinary record is perhaps his biggest weakness, for the 27 year-old is a fantastic athlete who can perform a number of roles for his side.
Barca’s interest is easy to understand too, for in two appearances against the Catalan giants in the UEFA Champions League, Ramires has scored once and assisted once, helping Chelsea to a victory and a draw.
Despite his frequent suspension, he remains a superb player who could be of immense use to most clubs in Europe – with FC Barcelona and Juve certainly amongst those.
