However, with a title defence and a renewed assault on Europe to worry about, there may be a few more comings and goings in West London than there normally are.
Below, we’ve highlighted three players that could be set to move on in the coming months in order to make room for the three names that may very well replace them.
OUT:
Petr Cech
The veteran stopper has made no secret of his desire to leave the club this summer, having fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order. He has recently been linked with moves to the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG, fully aware that he will be largely unopposed should he move to any of them.
John Obi Mikel
The midfield rock was once a guaranteed started for the Blues, but over the years has seen his influence and his playing time diminish. The time seems right for him to move on, and both Southampton and Inter Milan have been tipped as possible destinations.
Juan Cuadrado
A move that hardly seems worth the bother now, especially considering they gave up Andre Schurrle to snap him up. The Colombian has failed to make an impact during his short time at Stamford Bridge and as such Inter Milan are said to be keen on bringing him back to Serie A.
