Chelsea’s pursuit of Everton defender John Stones continues to be a frustrating one for Jose Mourinho’s Blues.
A third bid from Stamford Bridge – worth £30m – has been rejected by the Toffees, but Chelsea have not yet given up hope.
The Telegraph claim that Chelsea plan to wait for Stones to hand in a transfer request, before making a fourth offer.
It is reported that the fourth bid is likely to be worth around £40m, with Chelsea willing to offer Everton some players on loan to sweeten the deal.
The Telegraph say that Victor Moses and Bertrand Traore would be allowed to move to Goodison Park for the season, while Juan Cuadrado is also available for a loan move.
