Chelsea’s title defence has not got off to the ideal start, with the Premier League champions picking up just four points from their opening three games of the season.
Already critics are questioning the Blues’ chances of winning back-to-back titles, so fanatix thought that we would take our turn to pick holes in Jose Mourinho’s side!
Here are four weak links which could prevent Chelsea from topping the pile again this term…
4) John Terry
Substituted for the first time under Mourinho in the 3-0 humbling by Manchester City and sent off against West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea’s heroic skipper has endured a nightmare start to the season.
He played every minute of the club’s Premier League triumph last season, but things can change quickly in football and the 34-year-old now looks vulnerable against any striker with a hint of pace.
Mourinho is looking to address this lack of speed at the back by signing John Stones.
If he cannot snare the England defender from reluctant sellers Everton, Terry’s dip in form will be of huge concern.
