The Blues tried to lure Brazilian to Stamford Bridge, says Sky Sports reporter.
Interesting: Bayern tried to get Neymar (but had a deal with FCB since 2011) and Chelsea was the club willing to pay more for him

Chelsea were thwarted in a sensational move to sign Brazilian superstar Neymar, according to respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Neymar, 21, was amongst the hottest properties in world football before officially joining La Liga giants Barcelona from Santos this weekend.
Although the Brazil international’s transfer fee and wages remain undisclosed, Spanish football expert Sid Lowe reports a fee of £51.3m in the Guardian.
Balague’s assertion that Chelsea were willing to pay even more for the Brazil international suggest we’re in for a summer of massive spending at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues look to welcome back boss-in-waiting Jose Mourinho in style.
Sky Sports reporter Balague also claimed that Champions League winners Bayern Munich tried to sign Neymar, despite Santos announcing that just two clubs – widely believed to be Barca and La Liga rivals Real Madrid – were in the running for his signature..
