According to the Express, the Premier League champions have already seen a £20m bid rejected for the Spaniard, but they are determined to return with a better offer.
However, if they are to complete the signing of the star midfielder, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, then they must be willing to make a sacrifice.
It has been reported that Juventus are looking to sign Oscar and so the Italian giants will be monitoring the situation closely too as they look to take advantage in the event that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho needs to sell Oscar.
Mourinho has already missed out on one target this summer after Arda Turan decided to move to Barcelona, and so he is unlikely to want to be left frustrated again by losing the chance to sign Isco with the Spanish international failing to establish himself at the Bernabeu.
