GK: Asmir Begovic
Blues no.1 Thibaut Courtois will undergo scans on a knee injury on Friday and is expected to miss the clash at Goodison Park on Saturday. Summer signing Asmir Begovic will likely step in and will be sure to be kept busy by the Toffees attack.
LB: Cesar Azpilicueta
The Spaniard should keep his position at left-back in front of new boy Baba Rahman, but a poor performance here could see Jose Mourinho bring in the Ghanaian international next week.
CB: John Terry
Mourinho was livid with the way his side defended it the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace, but the return of Terry from suspension should help shore up the back four.
CB: Gary Cahill
The England international should beat out Kurt Zouma for the spot next to Terry, but he too is under pressure to conjure up a strong performance.
RB: Branislav Ivanovic
Ivanovic has struggled so far this season and has been heavily criticised for his performances, but it’s difficult to see Mourinho axing the Serb just yet.
