The younger and less well known brother of the excellent Eden, but last campaign was named Player of the Year in the Belgian top tier for his excellent performances with Zulte Waregem, but is now at Borussia Monchengladbach.
CM – Frank Lampard
In many peoples’ eyes the 36-year-old is the greatest player in the club’s history, but left for MLS’ newest franchise New York City FC and has now immediately returned to English football with a loan spell at Manchester City.
CM – Oriol Romeu
This young midfielder did well on-loan with Valencia over the past 12 months, but not enough to cement his place in the squad and he is now undertaking a temporary spell with Stuttgart.
LM – Lucas Piazon
Many thought after his impressive time with Vitesse Arnhem this attacking midfielder would get a chance under Mourinho, but it wasn’t to be and Piazon has been sent on-loan to Eintracht Frankfurt.
