Potential Chelsea XI with top transfer targets.
Chelsea have spent well this summer, bringing in an exciting new trio of big names in Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis, but Jose Mourinho may have even more arrivals planned before the end of this transfer window.
One or two of the club’s squad players could be heading for an exit, and this would allow for even more spending, with targets for Arsenal and Manchester United also on the Blues’ radar and possibly heading for Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
Three names in particular look set to come in, in what would give Chelsea an absolutely unstoppable looking squad, with a starting lineup to rival any other team in Europe.
Goalkeeper and defence:
AS Roma’s £30m-rated centre-back Mehdi Benatia could be the latest addition to this immense-looking Chelsea backline, with the Moroccan international likely to rotate with the likes of John Terry and Gary Cahill as among the first choice defenders in the middle. Thibaut Courtois should now be the club’s first choice goalkeeper, and the young Belgian will certainly have a formidable group in front of him.
