Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will spend a third consecutive season on loan at the Vincente Calderon.
The Belgium international has been a huge success since arriving at Atletico ahead of the 2011/12 season and has helped the Spaniards win the Europa League, European SuperCup and Copa del Rey in the past two campaigns.
The 21-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge from Racing Genk in summer 2011 but is still yet to make an appearance for the Blues, with Petr Cech still the established number one at Chelsea.
Following the departures of Blues back-up keepers Ross Turnbull and Hilario this summer, it has been suggested that new head-coach Jose Mourinho would welcome Courtois back to West London to challenge the Czech Republic international but the youngster will now spend another full season in Spain.
