Nemanja Matic – Benfica

The Serbian midfielder could make a return to Chelsea in the coming transfer window, according to a report from the Mirror in November.

Matic is technically outstanding, and has showed the whole of Europe why Chelsea were foolish to let go of him two years ago. At 25-years-old, Matic is coming into his peak years, and would add a creative spark and vision to the Chelsea midfield. Matic is more mobile than Fredy Guarin, and also provides more assists for teammates, but he would likely be far more expensive, too.

This term in Portugal, Matic has played 15 matches, scoring twice for Benfica, who currently top the table on level points with Porto and Sporting Lisbon.
