Out of favour Belgian midfield ace denies Mourinho riff…
Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has denied he has a problem with his manager Jose Mourinho, reports ITV Sport.
The Portuguese manager has barely given De Bruyne any playing time at all this season, following the young midfielder’s return from last season’s loan spell at Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
The 22-year-old did outstandingly for the German club, registering ten goals and ten assists, and many suggested he would return to Stamford Bridge as a key member of Mourinho’s new look squad.
De Bruyne reckons the media is more worried about his lack of playing time than he is, however.
“Am I panicking? Of course not. Honestly, I’m not worried. You [journalists] seem to be more worried than me,” said the former Genk ace.
“Mourinho is the boss and he decides who plays. He tells me when I’ve done something wrong, but I’ve heard nothing as negative from him as what I’ve been reading in the media.”
With the likes of Willian, Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar and Andre Schurrle all vying for attacking midfield spots, De Bruyne may not have such a respectable attitude if he remains on the bench until January.
