Ashley Cole is likely to leave when his contract expires, although he hasn’t been able to get into the side because of Azpilicueta’s form anyway. Even so, the Blues are favourites to sign the unbelievably talented Luke Shaw from Southampton, and if he arrives, the teenager could push the Spaniard hard for a starting spot.
