Chelsea have reportedly told Real Madrid that they must pay £73m if they are serious about signing goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium stopper, who has three seasons of La Liga experience following highly successful loan spells with Atletico Madrid, has been linked with Real, who are also said to be keen on Manchester United’s David de Gea.

However, The Telegraph claim that Chelsea value their 23-year-old at £73m, which is £43m move than United want for De Gea according to the Daily Star, who say the Red Devils are holding out for £30m.
De Gea is only one year older than Courtois and both are at a similar level right now, so surely Real would get a better deal if they raid Old Trafford, rather than Stamford Bridge.
