The Chicago Bears were humiliated by the Green Bay Packers on national television as they lost, 55-14. This marks the third consecutive loss for the Bears, and they allowed more than 50 points for the second consecutive game.
This has led to reports that head coach Marc Trestman is on the hot seat along with the rest of the Bears’ coaching staff.
Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker is sure to be uneasy since the Bears are still showing the same problems on defense from last season despite the team signing multiple defensive linemen in free agency.
However, Trestman is brushing aside the notion that the Bears will make personnel changes, saying there will be none at this time. Trestman may get the axe if the Bears do not improve though.
Here is a tweet from the Chicago Bears Twitter account quoting Trestman following the Bears’ Sunday night debacle.
Asked about changes to his coaching staff, #Bears coach Marc Trestman said: “There will not be any at this time.”
