Future Hall of Fame LB Brian Urlacher is more in-tune with what an elite QB looks like than almost anyone.

He may be retired, but former Chicago Bears LB and future Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher is about as knowledgeable about Bears QB Jay Cutler as anyone in football.
According to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Urlacher is unsure of the situation with QB Jay Cutler’s recent struggles, based on his comments during an interview with 87.7 FM The Game.
“Financially, he is one of the elite guys in the NFL … he just hasn’t produced like an elite quarterback. You look at the [Tom] Bradys, the [Peyton] Mannings, the [Aaron] Rodgers, the [Drew] Brees, those guys win every year, even with no one around them. Rodgers has no offensive line. He wins. Brady has no receivers. He wins.”
The statement came following a surprising loss to the Dolphins in which the Bears were shut out in the first half. And with the big-play receivers Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, Santonio Holmes and Martellus Bennett all healthy, the lack of offensive production is almost inexcusable.
“He’s got Brandon [Marshall], Alshon [Jeffery], Matt [Forte], this great offensive line, Martellus Bennett, and they can’t seem to put it together, for some reason,” he said. “I’m not sure if that’s his fault, but for some reason they just can’t figure it out.”
Urlacher and Cutler played together during the Bears’ 2010 season in which they went 11-5 and were the #2 seed, the first and only time Cutler led the Bears to the playoffs since joining the team in 2009. The Bears lost at home to the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 NFC Championship game.
