The Chicago Bears stunned the Jacksonville Jaguars with a last-minute touchdown to seal a 20-19 comeback victory.
Third-string quarterback Jordan Palmer engineered the Bears’ game-winning drive, and running back Senorise Perry capped it off with a five-yard run into the end zone.
The Jaguars were unable to respond as third-string quarterback Stephen Morris threw a game-ending interception.
Their other quarterbacks each performed excellently though. Chad Henne appears to have a tight hold on the starting job after throwing for 130 yards and a touchdown on 12-for-17 passing.
Rookie Blake Bortles continued to impress and make a case for being the Week 1 starter. He threw for 160 yards on 11-for-17 passing. Wide receiver Marqise Lee redeemed himself after receiving the wrath of Gus Bradley by catching four passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Jay Cutler looked sharp for the Bears, throwing for 75 yards on 7-for-9 passing. Jimmy Clausen fell back to Earth by throwing an interception, but he looked otherwise solid by throwing for 94 yards on 11-for-15 passing.
Ka’Deem Carey led the Bears in rushing with 36 yards on 13 carries, and he ran for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
