New Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino continues his side’s pre-season preparations tonight as Spurs face Chicago Fire in the USA with a 1am kick-off at Toyota Park.
It is the third and final game of the club’s pre-season tour of North America, with Pochettino’s men having followed up a 3-3 draw with Seattle Sounders with a 3-2 victory over Toronto FC this week, that saw a fine performance by Erik Lamela.
The likes of Lamela and Roberto Soldado will be hoping to continue their attempts to get over the disappointment of their first season in English football, whilst it may also represent the last attempt for the squad to impress without some of its 2014 FIFA World Cup players.
Tottenham return to Europe after their time in Chicago and will face Celtic in a friendly in Helsinki before hosting Bundesliga side Schalke 04 ahead of their opening Premier League match against West Ham United.
