Danish midfielder has set high goals after his move to north London.
Christian Eriksen believes Tottenham can mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Denmark international signed for Spurs in an £11 million deal from Ajax last month to become Andre Villas-Boas seventh and final arrival of a busy summer at White Hart Lane – and could make his debut against Norwich on Saturday.
Much is expected of Eriksen in north London after an influential three years in Holland and the talented 21-year-old is convinced his new employers can make a big impact at the top of the table this term after the addition of several quality players.
“What everyone wants and that’s to be one of the top three – maybe even the top,” he explained to talkSPORT.
“It’s really exciting when you look at the players the club is getting and I’m one of them. The club is going up, the players also and that’s what I want to be a part of. Hopefully, it will go well.
“Everyone has followed the development from Spurs, it only goes upward and that’s what I want to be part of, one of the biggest clubs in England.
“Every game will be like a Champions League game for me and that’s what I want. That’s why I moved, I want every game to be exciting.
“I’ve played Champions League for the last three years at Ajax and I know what it’s all about, the best place to be. Everyone wants that.”
