They fell, 2-1, to the St. Louis Cardinals as Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco was not with the team for their game, so he was not available to be brought in as a pinch hitter.
Mesoraco broke out in 2014 for the Reds as he hit 25 home runs with 80 runs batted in and a .273 batting average, and he made his first All-Star Game trip.
After the Reds dropped a close one to the Cardinals, Price was asked about where his All-Star catcher was. This was enough to send the Reds manager over the edge as he lashed out at the reporter and said the F-word a whopping 77 times in a furious rant.
This rant included Price saying “Ah, f***. I’m just f****** p****** up a rope in this f****** business. Because everyone has to know everything all the f****** time. That’s not my f****** obligation, it’s not their obligation.”
