The Browns ranked dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed as they surrendered 141.6 rushing yards per game.
Starks has experience as a defensive tackle in his time with the Miami Dolphins, but his value mostly comes as a pass rusher as he has compiled 41 sacks in his 11-year career.
He spent the beginning of his career with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the Dolphins, and he set a career high for sacks in 2009 with seven.
The 31-year-old’s durability will come in handy for the Browns as he has played every game in every season with the Dolphins except for one game last season.
