Cleveland Browns reportedly think they’ll get Sam Bradford in pre-draft trade with Philadelphia Eagles
Browns head coach says Johnny Manziel “very much in our plans” after return from rehab
He revealed that Josh McCown is currently the favorite to start for the Browns and will serve as the quarterback in the Browns’ first-team offense throughout training camp.
Johnny Manziel struggled greatly throughout his rookie season, and his lack of commitment to football during the season was enough for the Browns to sour on him and even consider giving up on him.
Manziel checked into rehab after the season due to his excessive partying, but he has left the building and is back training with the Browns.
Judging by Pettine’s latest comments, Manziel will have to climb a ladder to threaten McCown for the starting job.
McCown will look to prove that he still has some of his 2013 magic left in him, which he showed while replacing the injured Jay Cutler as their starter and throwing 13 touchdowns with one interception.
