The Cleveland Browns improved to 6-3 with a 24-3 blowout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, but Bengals running back Jeremy Hill claimed to be unimpressed with the Browns.
He went on to say that they are even worse than he thought. Browns safety Donte Whitner caught wind of these comments and fired back at Hill. “You know, that’s a rookie, so you can’t really take his words as anything other than pure ignorance and being a sore loser,” the Browns safety said to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
The Browns defense held its own against the Bengals running back as he was held to 55 yards and a fumble on 12 carries after he had run for 154 yards and two touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Whitner also pointed out that the Browns will meet the Bengals again, and they are scheduled for a rematch on Dec. 14.
The next match will be an intense one as the Browns will be determined to stick it to the Bengals again following Hill’s comments.
