Browns CB Joe Haden should have plenty to celebrate after the team signed his soon-to-be partner Justin Gilbert for the #2 CB position.
Browns top draft pick Justin Gilbert has officially signed with the Cleveland Browns. He is expected to immediately start opposite All-Pro CB Joe Haden in head coach Mike Pettine’s defense.
Gilbert was drafted with the 8th overall pick in the 2014 draft after the Browns traded down from the 4th pick, then later traded back up from the 9th pick they received from Buffalo.

Gilbert was a unanimous All-American and was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2013. He was named Second Team All-Big 12 in 2012.
Gilbert’s measurables in the NFL combine elevated him to the top of the draft board among DBs. He ran a 4.35 40-time and 20 bench press reps.
