The Cleveland Browns reportedly inquired about a possible trade for Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald prior to Fitzgerald’s new deal signed last month.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns tried to make a trade for the Cardinals all-time leading receiver but failed utterly.

With the loss of former All-Pro WR Josh Gordon for what will likely be the entire 2015 season due to yet another suspension for substance abuse, the Browns are scrambling to find receivers to give their offense some life before the start of the season.
Fitzgerald is an 8-time Pro Bowler and one of the most productive receivers in NFL history. He holds nearly every major Cardinals receiving record and has been one of the most dominant receivers in the league despite terrible QB play for the majority of his career.
