Liverpool will need to shell out 25 million pounds for the services of Southampton skipper Adam Lallana, reports the Metro.
The midfielder has been a prime target for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers for a couple of months now, but it will be interesting to see whether the Northern Irishman would be willing to pay the hefty asking price for his services.
Lallana too wants to play in the Champions League next season, but he has recently signed a new deal 5-year deal with the Saints, which means that they have no obligation to sell the midfielder urgently.
Liverpool could do with an industrious figure like Lallana in their midfield for next season though, and one would not be surprised if Rodgers, who was willing to offer 20 million pounds for the 26-year old, ups his offer soon.
Lallana scored 10 goals for Southampton last season, and has also won himself a place in the England World Cup squad on the back of some impressive performances.
