Ohio State beats Navy 34-17
No. 22 Ohio State was on the receiving end of the biggest upset of the college football so far, as they lost to Virginia Tech, 35-21.
The Buckeyes will look to recover on Saturday and stay in the top 25 against Kent State as they enter with a 1-1 record. Quarterback J.T. Barrett looked shaky as he threw three interceptions, including a pick-six in the fourth quarter that turned out to be the dagger.
The running game was also virtually nonexistent as Barrett led the Buckeyes with 70 yards, and running back Ezekiel Elliott was held to 32 yards.
However, Kent State has struggled so far with an 0-2 record. They lost to South Alabama last week, 23-13. Quarterback Colin Reardon struggled with his accuracy, completing only 42.5 percent of his passes.
The Golden Flashes running game is also non-threatening since they were held to just 64 yards on 28 carries against South Alabama.
As long as the Buckeyes can limit the turnovers, they should have no problem bouncing back against this Mid-American Conference cellar dweller.
Prediction: Ohio State 34, Kent State 14
