No. 8 Baylor had to play without starting quarterback Bryce Petty last week against Northwestern State, but that clearly didn’t matter to them as they exorcised the Demons, 70-6.
Backup quarterback Seth Russell looked fantastic as he threw for 438 yards and five touchdowns, which all came in the first half. Running backs Johnny Jefferson and Silas Nacita respectively added 107 and 104 rushing yards.
KD Cannon led the Bears in receiving with six receptions, 223 yards and three touchdowns. This helped the Baylor offense produce a video game-caliber 720 total yards.
Buffalo is expected to have extreme difficulty stopping the Baylor offense since they have allowed 37.5 points per game so far, but the Bulls may be able to hang some points on the Bears since they have scored 38.5 points a game.
However, Baylor has only allowed three points a game in 2014 so far while scoring a whopping 57.5 points per game. The Bulls are sure to struggle against Baylor after allowing 47 points in a loss to Army.
Quarterback Joe Licata will need to keep turnovers to a minimum to help keep the Bulls competitive with the Bears after throwing three interceptions against the Black Knights, although he did throw for five touchdowns.
Prediction: Baylor 55, Buffalo 13
