Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)
A controversial choice perhaps but Giroud is proving his worth for the Gunners after a tough start to life in the Premier League. Three goals in three Premier League goals suggest Wenger should not regret failing to land a top striker this summer and the powerful but technical Giroud could be an outside bet for the Golden Boot, particularly with Mesut Ozil providing the service.
Samuel Eto’o (Chelsea)
Eto’o is a proven goalscorer wherever he has played and is widely regarded to be the best player to have ever come out of Africa in recent years. The 32-year-old Cameroonian came to Chelsea on a free transfer and with no price tag to justify will surely be an instant hit.
