Goalkeeper and Defence
GK) Thibaut Courtois – The Belgian is an exceptional player who should have no problems adapting to the rigors of Premier League football during his first season at Stamford Bridge. Certainly beats out Wojciech Szczesny.
RB) Cesar Azplicueta – Impressive at left back for Chelsea last season, Azpilicueta should only get better now that he is set to be moved back into his natural position on the right.
CB) John Terry – The experienced Englishman is still amongst the best defenders in the game, despite his controversies, and probably still ahead of teammate Gary Cahill.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – The Frenchman has quietly grown and grown in stature since joining Arsenal from the French Ligue 2 and had a superb 2013/14 campaign.
LB) Filipe Luis – The new Chelsea left back is as good defensively as any full back in the world and should fit seamlessly into Jose Mourinho’s set-up.
