2008/09 – Yossi Benayoun
Having impressed at West Ham United the Israeli then went on to Merseyside and followed that up with Chelsea, Arsenal and QPR.
A little like Kuyt, Bennayoun was a hard worker although with a little more class on the ball and was a good outlet.
2013/14 – Daniel Sturridge
It’s been a real breakthrough year for the England international as Sturridge netted 21 league goals and was part of perhaps the most impressive attack in the league.
The 24 year-old has really come on since Rodgers has given him a more central role and the striker will look to build on this year’s form.
