Delisted Geelong Cats midfielder Jordan Schroder has joined Essendon’s VFL side.
The 22-year-old links up with Essendon after being axed by the Cats at the end of the 2014 AFL season.
Essendon VFL general manager Matt Little said Schroder was a great addition to the club.
“Jordan is a great acquisition for us as he is a fantastic midfielder that wins his own ball,” Little said.
“He has a great ability to read the play and consistently performs well at VFL level. The experience that he will bring from a top performing team such as Geelong will be invaluable.”
Schroder was the recipient of the 2013 J.J Liston Trophy and the winner of the 2014 Geelong VFL Best and Fairest.
