Fernando Torres signs for AC Milan ahead of Atletico move.
Chelsea have released a statement this evening confirming that the club’s striker Fernando Torres has made his two-year loan deal with Serie A giants AC Milan a permanent one, a move that is believed to be a precursor to him joining former club Atletico Madrid.

Once the transfer has officially gone through on 5th January, Torres is expected to then move to his boyhood club Atletico on a loan deal, with out-of-favour Italian international striker Alessio Cerci making the move to the San Siro in return.
Torres has failed to settle at the San Siro so far this season and, with Milan having been interested in Cerci before his unsuccessful move to Atletico in the summer, it is a move that seems to benefit all parties.
