Liverpool have made one of their first official moves on the 2015 January transfer window, with the club this evening having confirmed the sale of out-of-favour winger Oussama Assaidi to Al-Ahli on a permanent deal.

Assaidi, who joined Liverpool in the summer of 2013 but has spent the last eighteen months on loan at Stoke City, will now be plying his trade in the United Arab Emirates, a surprise career move for a relatively useful Premier League performer.
