Carlton has welcomed back favourite son Stephen Silvagni with the former Greater Western Sydney Giants list manager taking up the same role at the Blues.
Silvagni, who played 312 games and won two premierships with the Blues, was linked with a move back to the moves for the past few months.
Blues chief executive Steven Trigg said Silvagni was the stand-out candidate for the role.
“Since retiring from playing Stephen has gained more than a decade of experience in football roles, most recently as a List Manager for the Giants. His football knowledge and experience as a player, coach and administrator will be a tremendous asset to our Club,” Trigg said.
“It’s also a wonderful synergy that Stephen is returning to his former home at Princes Park – his passion for Carlton has certainly shone through in all of our conversations.
“This appointment is in line with our commitment to better resource our list management area, as recently outlined in our vision for Carlton’s future.
“We are certainty committed to bolstering our elite list management and football programs, and I’m confident that Stephen is the right person to ensure we deliver on this.”
