Peterson was alleged to have beaten his four-year-old son with a tree branch without leaves. He was deactivated for the rest of the season after playing in Week 1.
The Vikings running back reportedly wants out of Minnesota and is desiring to play for the Dallas Cowboys, but his contract does not expire until 2018.
This dream may come to fruition for Peterson if the Cowboys are unable to re-sign free-agent DeMarco Murray. He is scheduled to be reinstated on April 15.
FOX Sports NFL reported on Peterson’s choice of destination on Twitter.
